Day 1: Bucharest – Sinaia (150 km) In the morning pick-up from your hotel (or from the airport) and depart for Sinaia, one of the best mountain resorts nicknamed the “Pearl of the Carpathians”. Accommodation and dinner in Sinaia.
Day 2: Sinaia- Brasov –Bran- Sinaia (200 km)Today you will visit Sinaia Monastery and the Peles Castle, a marvelous piece of architecture, which has served as the summer residence for King Carl I the first king of Romania.You will drive on to Brasov, where you will take a short walking city tour of this fairy-tale town founded in the 12th century by the Saxon settlers. Visit the Black Church – largest gothic style church in South-Eastern Europe and the St. Nicholas Church, then the museum of the First Romanian School in Transylvania. On your way back to Sinaia you will stop to Bran to have a traditional lunch at a local restaurant, then visit Bran Castle.Built in the 14th century by the merchants from Brasov to protect the old border between Valahia and Transilvania, Bran Castle is also known as Dracula’s Castle. Day 3: Sinaia- Sighisoara (200km)After breakfast you leave Sinaia behind and head on to Sighisoara-the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler. Sighisoara, a Saxon medieval fortress - town, is part of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage being the best preserved and continuously inhabited early medieval citadel in Eastern Europe.You will have lunch and then proceed on a walking tour of the town. You will visit the famous Clock Tower Museum with its Torture and Weapons Rooms and stop in the house in which Dracula (Vlad the Impaler) was born in 1432. Dinner and overnight in Sighisoara
Day 4: Sighisoara – Biertan – Sibiu - Sighisoara (250 km) In the morning you will drive to the Saxon village of Biertan where you visit the fortress church that is one of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Sites. The church hosts the largest wing altar in Romania and was used as the residence of the Lutheran bishop of Transylvania for over 300 years. Your tour will take you to Sibiu where you will enjoy a comprehensive walking tour of the city. Here you’ll see arcaded medieval shops and houses, The Small Square, the Liar’s Bridge, Huet Square and visit the Cathedral, where the son of Vlad the Impaler (another of Dracula’s monikers) was assassinated. You’ll also have lunch and stop at the Brukenthal Art Gallery before driving back to Sighisoara. Dinner and overnight in Sighisoara
Day 5: Sighisoara – Piatra Neamt (300 km) After beakfast in the hotel , drive towards Bucovina through the Bicaz Gorges, one of the most spectacular limestone formations in Romania.Reaching Lacu Rosu (Red Lake), you will stop to admire the beauty of the mountains and the surrounding woods and to have lunch. In the afternoon you will arrive in Piatra Neamt for dinner and overnight
Day 6: Piatra Neamt- Bucovina area/The Painted Monasteries-Piatra Neamt (200 km) Today is a full-day tour of the famous painted monasteries of Bucovina: Humor Monastery with the best preserved inside frescoes, Moldovita Monastery, admire the black pottery in Marginea Village then visit Sucevita Monastery - the best preserved of all with imposing walls and defensive towers. Lunch in Sucevita. Finish the tour with Voronet Monastery- the "Sistine Chapel" of Eastern Europe, so famous for the blue colour used by the artist as background for its frescoes. Drive back to Piatra Neamt for dinner and accommodation
Day 7: Piatra Neamt– Bucharest (300 km) You will have breakfast at the hotel before departing to Bucharest and lunch on the way. Late arrival to Bucharest followed by a panoramic city tour of the Romanian capital, once called “Little Paris”.The tour includes the open air Village Museum, The Revolution Square, The Patriarchal Church,the Military Academy, The Arch of Triumph.

Day 8: Departure Today you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
